We will introduce the basic principals of drawing, using line and shading. Each student will progress at their own pace while learning to draw from real-life objects and photographs. No experience necessary. Pencil, charcoal and chalk will be used. All art materials provided.
Students who have an interest in expanding their drawing skills (and love to draw) should attend this class! We will continue with the basics of line and shodow work, and delve into perspective, texture and composition. Students will be expected to use a sketchbook at home while in this class. Drawing becomes fun when you add color! Students will create color wheels, learn about primary, secondary and complimentary colors. Students will learn to blend and layer colors while drawing from objects, still-lives, and photographs! Color pencil and chalk pastel. All art materials provided.

Still-Life Studies (Age 11 - 18)
This is the continuation of the Intermediate Drawing Class. Students will create still-lifes using different styles (Realistic, Impressionist, Cubism, Modern, etc...) Discussion about styles and some art history will be introduced. Color pencil, pen & ink, chalk pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paint may be used. All art materials provided.
